The back to basics spring-type cat toys
I’ve been testing a lot of cat toys lately and this week I went back to basics with these Andiker spring toys. To be honest, sometimes the simplest thing is the thing that works. So, I wanted to see if Jade had any interest.
They come in a 12 pack in a bunch of bright colors, pink, yellow, green, and a few others. When you first open the bag they’re kind of all tangled together but they pull apart pretty easily.
They are bouncy and some cats enjoy batting at them
There’s not much to explain here, they’re springs, they’re bouncy, they roll around unpredictably when your cat bats at them. And I could absolutely see a younger cat going crazy chasing these around the house.
However, my elderly cat, Jade, sniffed them, walked past them, and that was about it. Which honestly tracks because she’s a senior cat and anything that doesn’t have catnip in it or a laser attached requires a lot more convincing these days. I don’t think that’s a reflection on the toy so much as a reflection on my very particular cat.
The final verdict
For kittens or younger cats who like to swat and chase things I think these would be a really good time. Twelve in a pack means you’ve got plenty to lose under the couch and still have some left over. They’re on Amazon and they’re not expensive ($5.99 at the time of this writing) so pretty low risk if you want to try them out.
