The rechargeable YVE LIFE automatic laser

I’ve been on a bit of a laser toy kick lately after seeing how Jade responded to the last one I tested, so when I came across this automatic version from YVE LIFE I was curious whether she’d engage with it the same way when I’m not the one controlling it. Spoiler: Yes, she did.
First thing I noticed is – it looks genuinely cool, kind of futuristic for a cat toy. It comes in silver or white, and it’s really easy to use which I always appreciate because I don’t want to read a manual to set up something for my cat. It’s USB rechargeable, low noise which matters a lot in a quiet apartment. It also has three speed settings so you can start slow and work up depending on how chaotic you want things to get.

The laser movement is random
The random movement is what makes it different from a regular laser pointer because Jade couldn’t predict where it was going next which kept her locked in way longer than she usually stays interested in anything. It’s also motion activated so it kicks on when your cat is nearby and has a standby mode so it’s not just running constantly.

What to know before you buy
A couple things worth knowing before you buy: they recommend keeping it at a height between 8 and 35 inches for the laser to work properly, keep it away from kids, and the motion sensor only reactivates about once every two hours so it doesn’t overstimulate your cat which I actually think is a smart design choice.
Even my senior cat went for this one which at this point is the highest endorsement I can give anything. Available on Amazon in silver or white ($19.99 at the time of this writing).
