Why I chose the Tower of Tracks
I picked up the Catstages Tower of Tracks mostly because I liked the concept. It has these different layers with balls that slide around a track. So your cat can bat at them without you ending up with balls rolling under every piece of furniture in your house. Which, if you’ve ever bought those individual ball toys, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
Jade was not impressed. She watched it for a minute, gave it a sniff, and walked away. To be honest, this is becoming a theme with her at this stage of her life. I think the big thing missing for her is there’s no catnip or anything infused into it to give her a reason to care. It’s just the movement and for a senior cat who’s not really motivated by chasing things that’s not quite enough.
That said, I actually found myself spinning the balls around while I was filming. It’s kind of satisfying so maybe I’m the target audience.
My Verdict on Catstages Tower of Tracks
I do think for a younger more playful cat this would be a different story. If you’ve got a cat that goes crazy for ball toys and you’re tired of fishing them out from under the couch this is a pretty clever solution to that problem. The design is solid, it’s not going anywhere, and the balls aren’t going to escape.
