Do you have a picky cat?
I’ve been trying to get Jade more interested in her toys lately. She’s a picky cat as far as toys. As such, she has been in this phase where she just sits on the windowsill and stares at birds. To be honest, I don’t blame her but I also don’t want her getting bored when I’m at work. So I’ve been picking up random stuff on Amazon to see what sticks. These catnip pillow things from Potaroma caught my eye mostly because the pictures looked softer than the usual crinkle toys and I figured three for the price was worth a shot even if she hated them.
They come in a wide variety of colors
They came in a few color options and I went with the mint green, gray, and beige set which I realize is a weird thing to have an opinion about for cat toys. However, they looked nicer than the neon ones. Taking them out of the packaging the softness actually did match what I expected from the photos, like genuinely soft, not stiff at all, and they make a crinkle noise when you squeeze them which I’ve noticed Jade responds to way more than she responds to basically anything that makes a different sound.
Will your cat like it?
She was into them pretty much right away. Sniffing, rubbing her face on them, doing the kick thing with her back legs. She’s been going back to them on her own. This is the real test for her because she’ll often play with something if I dangle it in front of her and then never look at it again. Sure, the catnip is probably helping. But she’s also just ignored catnip stuffed into things before. So I think it’s more the texture and the sound together.
