Testing the Tempcore Cat Tunnel
I have been testing a lot of cat toys lately. To be honest, it’s become its own little project at this point. Jade, my cat, has very strong opinions. As a result, I’ve been on a mission to figure out what she actually likes versus what she tolerates. This week it was the Tempcore Cat Tunnel and let’s just say it required some creativity.
So this is a three pronged tunnel. This could sound a bit weird. However, when you lay it out on the floor it actually makes a lot of sense. The is because it gives your cat multiple entry points to run in and out of instead of just a straight shot through. There’s also an opening in the center. So if your cat is agile enough, they can pop in and out from the top which I could see a younger cat absolutely losing their mind over.
It folds flat for easy storage
It folds down pretty compact for storage. I certainly appreciate that because cat toys have a way of taking over your entire living space. It’s a little fiddly to get it completely flat, but it gets there.
Jade needed some convincing. It came with a little batting toy attached which helped get her curious and I also ended up breaking out the wand to lure her toward it. What actually worked best was the laser light inside the tunnel which I did not expect but if your cat is ignoring it that’s worth trying before you give up on it.
For a senior cat it was more of a slow introduction kind of situation. For a kitten or a younger more playful cat, I think this would be an immediate hit. Honestly, the design is genuinely really good. There’s also a lot going on to keep a curious cat entertained.
