The trending Potaroma crinkle fish
This week I’m testing out these popular Potaroma Crinkle Fish that has been trending on Amazon.
These are kind of similar to the catnip pillows I tried a while back. But these are fish shaped which I think Jade, my cat, appreciated. The longer shape seems to be really good for that bunny kick thing she does where she grabs something with her front paws and goes at it with her back legs. The size and shape is just right for that.
They come in a three pack with different colors. They also have the same crinkle texture inside. As a result, when she grabs them there’s that crunchy noise that cats seem hardwired to react with.
And they’re infused with catnip which for Jade especially makes a difference. In our case, the fact that she is senior cat means she sometimes she needs a little extra motivation to actually engage with something. Otherwise she just sniffs it before walking away with a rather bored look.
My final verdict
My cat liked these though. She kept coming back to them, which is always the real test with her. I think for a younger more playful cat these would be an even bigger hit. They younger cat, in my opinion, would probably go absolutely feral with the shape and the crinkle and the catnip all together.
